Aroma:

Myrcene is known for producing an earthy, musky smell. This terpenes is so common in cannabis, that it is a little more difficult to pin point unless in high concentrations.

Flavor:

Myrcene, or beta-myrcene, has a flavor profile that can be best described as the “signature” cannabis flavor. This is commonly referred to as the natural plant flavor. Myrcene has a vaporization point of 334 °F. 

Benefits/Effects:

Myrcene is most common in indica-dominant strains, but can be found in hybrid and sativa-dominant strains as well. This terpene is most famously known for inducing relaxation and reduce anxiety. This terpene is found in most of your “night-night” strains. Myrcene also contains anti-inflammatory and pain relief properties. Myrcene works to prevent cancer-causing cells and enzymes specifically from fungi found in food. This terpene also helps mitigate DNA damage from certain toxins.
