Humulene (hu-mu-lean) • noun

Aroma:

Humulene, the name deriving from the Humulus Lupulus, is known for having an aroma of earth and musk, with some consumers noticing a scent of sage or ginger.

Flavor:

Humulene, aka alpha-caryophyllene, has a distinct “hoppy” flavor that is often associated with beer. Often times this terpene provides an underlying tone of spice and herbs to really give an IPA flavor.

Benefits/Effects:

Humulene is often found in hybrid strains. Like THCv, humulene acts like an appetite suppressant. Used with other terpenes and cannabinoids, this terpene can posses anti-cancer and tumor fighting properties. Humulene is also good for anti-inflammatory and as an analgesic. This terpene has been incorporated in Chinese medicines for generations.
